A great photographer is great not because of her or his fancy camera or equipment. You wouldn’t be the next Picasso if you used the exact brushes, paints, etc. A great photographer is great because of her or his skillset and experience.
Now having said that…
My new 5D Mark IV is a beast of a camera. In the hands of a skilled photographer, this tool will help capture stunning images that weren’t possible a few years back. I’ve been using mine and the useful ISO range has blown me away. What this means for my clients is sharper images, less noise in dark environments, super clean enlargements, more ambient light, and less dependence & drain on my flash.
The image below of yours truly and my fiancé were shot with my 5D Mark IV. Prior to the 5D Mark IV the ISO used for these shots would have resulted in very noisy images. Even when shot RAW, the noise reduction setting on Adobe Lightroom would have resulted in loss of detail.
